My first time into Plaza Brasserie was when I still an intern with the Park Royal hotel. And no, I did not have any of my meals there, in fact I have never ate at Plaza Brasserie until this year during its Crab Buffet a couple of months back. I have to say, I am very impressed at the quality of food they serve at Plaza Brasserie.
This time I was invited to savor the food again. This time the theme is “Flavors of Thai“. Plaza Brasserie, on top of its current evergreen items like the Soft Shell crab fritters and the Braised Sea Cucumber, they are adding in Thai dishes like the Beef Kway Teow, Roast duck Red Curry, Green Curry with Chicken and many other thai dishes.
I have to give special recommendation to the Beef Kway Teow. It was something I really enjoyed that night. I found the soup refreshing, the taste was balanced. It wasn’t too pungent and there was enough spices and herbs to give the soup its distinctive taste.
And being the sweet tooth that I am, I had alot of Durian Pangat…and I really mean alot. Instant sore throat the next day I tell you. This dessert is an evergreen item on the buffet table, so you’ll be able to go there and get it anytime you want. Plaza Brasserie gave you the option to add cubes of sticky glutinuous rice into the already sinful dessert.
Boiled Tapiocal was served as well. It was a very simple dessert, just tapiocal served with a generous drizzle of coconut cream. It was delightful enough to make me disregard the husky core of the tapiocal which wasn’t cooked.
Flavors of Thai @ Park Royal is available from now all the way to the 31st of October! Adult and Child dinner buffet are at $52++ and $31++ respectively.
