I have heard many good things about Caffe B ever since it opened in Marina Bay Sands. I was really delighted when Melicacy invited me to join her for tasting at this posh restaurant.
As quoted from the MBS web page:
Caffè B is the nouveau Italian restaurant and bar concept that marries the best Italian tradition, style and cuisine with the soul and sensibilities of the Japanese culture.
Well said, and you can really see this description translated into the dishes they served that night. But I am not going to write about that in this post. This is a #SweetSaturday post and is only dedicated to all things dessert.
The first dessert that I’m going to introduce is Panna Cotta ai Mandarini Giapponesi, Salse di Frutta. Basically it is Yuzu Pudding, with Fruits, Vanilla and Passion fruit sauce. The presentation was cute, adorable and unique, something I’ve not seen before (oh the wonders of presentation and desserts). The delicate flavors of the Yuzu pudding paired really well with the sauces.
Next we had Crostatina di Nocciole Pienontesi, Crema al Sake which briefly translates to Piedmont Hazelnut Tart with Custard Cream Flavoured in Tahiti Vanilla and Japanese Sake Topped with Berries and Peaches. Not much could be said about this dessert. It wasn’t really impressionable. I wished it could taste as exciting as it was pretty.
The last dessert that we had that night was Tiramisu. This dessert was classic. Unpretentious but classy. I recommend this. Trust me, it’s really good.
