My last trip up to KL, a local friend brought me to this lovely town call Bangsar. Probably about 5-10 minutes cab ride away from the Golden Triangle. It feels like a good mix of Joo Chiat, Katong and Holland Village with the upscale air of Dempsey and the exclusivity of Greenwood Ave.
He recommended this place by the name of G3 Kitchen and Bar.
My curious taste-buds brought me to order a Lebanese Lamb and Lemon Couscous. And I wasn’t one bit disappointed at my choice.
The lamb was done in a tender soft medium rare. Appropriately seasoned with warm, earthy Lebanese spices, it covered the strong stench of the lamb and brought out just enough of that unique taste to give the dish some characteristics.
The couscous was slightly tangy, not sour nor tart. It would be nicer to have a bit more tang to the couscous to give it that contrast. Having said that, this dish was executed with much skill.
I didn’t quite like the slices of goats cheese on top. But that’s just because it was really too pungent and acquired for my liking.
It was just sad that the lamb was the only thing I had that night because prior to that was full day of eating for me. But I would definitely want to go back to G3 for their pizzas. I’ve read from a few reviews that greatly praised it.
