Unofficial 3-Star Michelin Week!

Untitled-3It’ll quite a star-studded week, Michelin Stars that is, for foodies and epicureans next week, Chefs from two 3-Michelin star restaurants will be cooking up a tasty storm in Singapore.  Christophe Muller from Paul Bocuse’s legendary L’Auberge Du Pont De Collonges and Quique Dacosta from the modernist Quique Dacosta Restaurante will be here in Singapore on 16 and 18 September respectively.

On Tuesday 16 September, two undisputed talents in the realm of French gastronomy, Chef Christophe Muller from Paul Bocuse’s legendary 3 Michelin Star restaurant, L’Auberge du Pont de Collonges, and Chef Emmanuel Stroobant of the inimitable Relais et Chateaux restaurant, Saint Pierrewill join hands for the first time to create an exclusive dinner titled Perrier-Jouët Four Hands Champagne Dinner. As the title would suggest, each course will be paired with impeccable champagnes from Perrier-Jouët.

Highlights of the night includes Muller’s Pouilly-Fuisse Infused Iced Lobster Consomme with Cream of Califlower scented with Ginger to start, Muller’s Pan-fried Foie Gras with Grapefruit and Balsamic Vinegar, Artichoke chip and Creamy Polenta, Stroobant’s Hay-roasted Whole Rack of Veal with Black Truffle jus with Braised Porcini Mushroom, Caramelised Shallot, Crispy Smoked Bacon Skin and Ratte Potato.  The dessert to end off the night is 9 Layers of Chocolate,  a dessert created by Stroobant flaunting layers of sheer chocolate bliss in nine different forms of taste and texture.

Dinner is priced at S$388++ per person, or S$3,500 for a table of 10.

Hailing all the way from Spain, Quique Dacosta of the eponymous restaurant in Spain will be in the kitchen of Sofitel So Singapore creating his techno-emotional cuisine that he is reputed for.  The dishes of the night are The HazeCuba Libre of Foie GrasThe Hen of the Golden EggAshes Rice and Chocolate Sand. Each of these dishes are masterfully minimalistic and embraces bold flavours.  On top of that, the dinner is paired with fine wines from Spain’s Castell d’Encus winery.
